PrintOne of the main work areas of our company is manufacturing of hardened glass. For these purposes the glass-hardening furnace of the Finnish company “TAMGLASS” was bought, which is the logical continuation of the five-year work of equipment installing and increasing of the quantity of glass-producing offerings, offered to our customers.
Glass of any composition, color, shape and sizes, subjected to the special hardening by means of heating to 650-700°C and fast cooling in further, is called hardened sheet glass. In the process of hardening outer layers of glass come into the strong pressing condition, inner — into the tension condition, creating the system of tensions in glass, providing its’ high mechanical and thermal durability. When reaching the limit of mechanical durability hardened sheet glass is being destroyed, but scatters into the small fragments of the rounded shape without sharp cutting edges.
Furnace specifications:
- thickness of hardened glass — from 4 to 19 mm;
- maximum size of hardened glass — 2400õ4800 mm;
- minimal size of hardened glass — 300õ300 mm;
- hardening cycle duration –160 sec/cycle (for 4mm glass);
- efficiency under 100% workload is 170,1 sq.m/hour (for 4mm glass).
